PRODUCER POSITION

Description

Millennial is a PRX and Radiotopia podcast, hosted by me, Megan Tan. It’s a bi-monthly show that strives to tell sincere, honest, narrative-driven stories about coming of age. Our goal is to be an evolving audio journal about growing up where we move people at the least, and make people want to change or take action at the most.

It started in the closet of my home, you can listen to its evolution in the first season. In 2015 and 2016 the Atlantic ranked it on its list of top 50 podcasts.

Millennial is an independent show and company, which means, we’re scrappy and start-upy. We’re looking for someone who is ambitious, curious, enthusiastic about audio, who isn’t afraid to get into the weeds of production and is willing to create the rules as we go. Millennial is a small, small team (aka it would be you and I in a room) so high enthusiasm, and new fresh ideas go a long way.

The studio is based in my closet but the Millennial office is located in downtown Portland, Maine.
